About Molly McFord
A shy gal from the tumbleweeds of Austin, Texas, Molly McFord, she grew up thinking that paper was just for writing. On her 18th birthday on a trip to Tokyo, she discovered the fine art of origami, and the world has never been the same. Now renowned for her maverick work, her range and depth as an artist are undeniable. From a new spin on the classic mitsune model to whimsical dragon creations, her work has been displayed in such fine museums as the Peabody-Essex museum in Salem, MA and the American Museum of Natural History.
Although Molly is currently touring with her folded inventions, but also enjoys long walks on the beach, learning to play shakuhachi and spagetti.
